A roastery that keeps late hours.
Nocturne began in 2019 with a single drum roaster and a stubborn belief: coffee should taste like the place it came from, and the night should have a cup worth staying up for. (Fictional demo company.)
From one drum roaster to three cafés
We started in a borrowed warehouse, roasting after dark because that was the only time the space was free. The name stuck. What began as weekend batches for friends became a small roastery obsessed with sourcing well, roasting patiently, and pouring generously.
Today — in this fictional world — we roast seasonal lots from growers we know by name, run three cafés, and ship subscriptions across the country. We are still small on purpose, and we still roast best after midnight.
Illustrative figures for this demonstration site.
Small things, done slowly
Source transparently
We name our producers and pay above market. Good coffee starts as a fair relationship.
Roast patiently
Small batches, dialed by taste, roasted to reveal the bean rather than bury it.
Pour generously
Hospitality is the point. A café should feel like the best-lit corner of a dark evening.
